Re-planning a wedding that was postponed?
my fiance 26 years old and i 24 years old postponed our june 2010 wedding in january 2010. we have been together for 6 years, lived together 3 years and have been engaged since march 2007. the wedding was postponed because we had some issues that we needed to work out nothing like him or i cheating, just simply that we needed to work on " sparking our flame" and putting one another first again and making time for just the two of us we were beginning to feel like " roomates" . we had support from both of our parents saying they'd rather us do it this way then starting a marriage with problems or a weak foundation. we were fortunate that we got deposits back from vendors, although my bridesmaids had already bought their dresses i was able to reimburse all of them. invitations did not go out to guests, so only immediate family and the people involved in the wedding had to be notified. no pre wedding party's had been scheduled either. my fiance and i are still living together and making sure we have the time for ourselves and are enjoying " dating" again on those evening when we get all dressed up like it's our first date again anyway, i was curious to see if anyone out there has ever been in this situation and when should we start the wedding planning process if we think we really are ready this time for a wedding in the next 12 months or so. we orginally had 6 attendants on each side, so 12 all together. would it be rude for us to only have one or 2 attendants when we re plan our wedding and possibly scale down the guest list to 150 instead of 200? as said above, invitations were never sent for the june 2010 wedding, so people didnt know whether they were getting an invite or not. thanks and hope to hear some good helpful responses grooms and groomsmen did not purchase or get fitted for their attire, so we did not have any obligations as far as they go. would it be acceptable to change the color scheme from fuschia and black to navy and lime green? most of the girls have gotten their dresses hemmed into shorter dresses so they were able to wear them to another event since they were very summery type dresses. i would love to have all of the attendants in the wedding, so i guess the easiest thing would be to ask them, again when the time comes.i had a lot of fun low stress when planning our wedding that was suppose to be this past june any ideas or suggestions of how to keep the planning just as exciting. i am still thinking of using some of the same ideas just possibly switching the colors b c i loved the ideas so much the first time and still do.

Any of you girlie's out there planning a wedding on a budget?
I have been engaged for just over a year and half now... me and my fiance had originally planned to wait a few years and save up but we have now decided to just go ahead and do it on a budget...it need not cost thousands of pounds, it's about us, our vows and our family not fancy things that mean nothing Anyway, soppy rambling aside I'm looking for any advice or tips on where I can save on our wedding, what things are essential spends and what can I cut back on? Any photo's of your weddings done on the cheap would be perfect too if you're happy to share, I'd love to see some different ideas Thanks in advance xx

Ok so I'm planning my own wedding but the thing is...I've never even been to a wedding before hahawhat I want is something super simple My fiance' uncle has a nice pond and it's where he purposed actually It has a nice Dock with a large platform at the end where I'd like to have the ceremony and the bank in front of the dock has enough room for a few rows of chairs. I want some dresses that come to the bridesmaids knee the color is turquoise. Planning a wedding on small budget? What do you think about my ideas?
I plan on having a beautiful wedding on a small budget... way less than $10,000 dollars. I plan on having 100 or so people. So do you think I can pull it off? I truly think it's very possible I want to prove to the wedding industry that I can do this Here is the website that inspired me to have a not so stressful wedding on a budget 2000dollarwedding.com I've already found a wedding reception hall that is way under $1,000 and the place is beautiful. The reception hall will provide us with tables and chairs. I might have to rent chair covers and table cloths. Which I don't mind. The reception hall will also provide us with plates and few other kitchen items. I think I'm going to recruit a lot of my family members and friends to help me out with the wedding. I want a family oriented wedding where my friends can feel as if their apart of my family. I don't want a huge expensive show. That's why I'm choosing to have a DIY wedding reception that looks expensive. Everyone I know is pretty creative. I'm a very crafty person so I plan on making all the wedding favors, wedding programs, boutonnieres, decorations, wedding invites, wedding pillow, etc. I found a beautiful scrapbook in my room that I plan on using for my wedding as a guestbook. The cost Free I've got beautiful picture frames in my room of my fiance and I. Those pictures will be used at my reception. I even might have my finance and I grow our own flowers for the wedding. The more things that I can make by hand for our wedding, the more money my fiance and I will be saving. Which I believe to be true I found a restaurant that caters on great budget. I don't plan on getting a fancy wedding cake from a bakery. I might just get myself a store bought wedding cake. My moms friend owns a dress shop and she can get me a great deal on a simple wedding dress. I might hire my aunt who takes professional looking pictures in her spare time to be my photographer for the wedding. I also know other people who too are good at photography. I will hire a DJ because my fiance and I love music so much. I think that I will be buying my own liquor for the wedding and having a family member of mine who doesn't much like to dance be a bartender. I'm so excited to be planning my wedding with my fiance. I think he's going to be excited too. Were both crafty people. So we plan on using our imagination for this wedding. I love my fiance so much and I can't wait for our special day that will occur sometime next summer. Wedding planning for me has been very exciting because I don't feel so stressed out. My wedding is just one day and it's day that I want to remember but I also want my family and friends to remember the day as well. When I first started doing wedding research I felt overwhelmed. Now I don't feel that way thanks to the 2000 wedding budget website So what do you all think of my ideas? Can I pull this off? I think it's possible to have a beautiful wedding on a small budget. I hope to inspire others also when they plan their wedding. So I want your input?

I'm helping to plan a wedding?
My friend has recently asked me to be a bridesmaid in her wedding. Her Maid of Honor is her 9 year old sister, and since her sister can't do much with the planning, I have been asked to take on the responsibilities of Maid of Honor. What kinds of things should I keep in mind during this process? What can I expect? Her sister is her best friend, the girl that she is the closest to. I don't blame her for wanting her to be her MOH. She's family. I don't mind taking the responsibilities of MOH, I just need to know what to expect. It's 9 YEARS not months blondie. But thank you.
