I'm just wondering how you got married & how you planned or are planning your wedding. Is planning a wedding really as great as I think it is? Because there's alot of family issues happening to my fiance & I all because we announced our engagement...and him & I talked about it. We think we want to rent a church, decorate it still just as much & just as beautifully as were would of, but just get married alone, just us two & our 2 witnesses of course . Then go on a long honeymoon traveling to six different countries It will be so romantic & stress free.. and our special day will still be about us The only thing I'm having a hard time with is I love love love looking at wedding stuff & planning it, but that's the only reason I want a wedding ? So I'm just wanting to know, How great is the planning process really? Did you enjoy it or regret it ? And briefly explain how you were married & your favorite thing part of your wedding day....or if you're still planning how do you like it & what are you most excited about. I have a question about planning a wedding?
Im looking to have a wedding im already married but i never had a ceremony i wanted to wait and save up more money so i can have the small wedding i want...if anyone is from northern california and knows of any good places to have a small wedding for just close family and friends do you have any tips? I live pretty close to Napa Valley..if anyone has any tips please let me know.. thanks
Ideas for planning a wedding?
I am debating between having a do it yourself kind of wedding or having it at a wedding venue. But if i choose do it yourself, what would be some good ideas? My fiance and I have COMPLETELY different ideas when it comes to this wedding and we clash heads sometimes. I want romantic and he wants it to be fun and unique. ADVICE?
Questions about planning a wedding..?
OK so me and my husband are planning to get married in 1 and 1 2 years. so im starting to plan. But then i thought to my self this is pointless. I have no family dad, mom and brother passed away plus the rest of my famly doesnt even talk 2 eachother. No contact at all. Then OH's family doesnt care about anyone but themselves. Like just by the way they are i know that they will show up and let there kids run ragged and scream and pretty much ruin the enitre wedding. What should i do? I found a Place i would love to have my wedding. But it says for guests up to 100 or guests up to 350... I dont have anywhere near 100 people to invite. .... Could really use some guidance.Hahah i would put no children under 13 but my fiances family is one to take things very personally. Plus i have a son of my own who by that time will be almost 2 years old

HELP! planning a wedding but I'm clueless! (dresses)?
Ok so I'm planning my own wedding but the thing is...I've never even been to a wedding before hahawhat I want is something super simple My fiance' uncle has a nice pond and it's where he purposed actually It has a nice Dock with a large platform at the end where I'd like to have the ceremony and the bank in front of the dock has enough room for a few rows of chairs. I'm trying to do everything as cheap as I can so the food is a pot luck...but the dresses are where I'm stressing I don't have a wedding dress, bridesmaids or flower girl. I want some dresses that come to the bridesmaids knee the color is turquoise. I like this dress i think but I'm afaird it might clash and I can't find a wedding dress simple enough to match...help? do you know any good sites where I can get some ideas of what I might want? getting married next year in the summer in Mexico or here in Houston TX how long does it take to plan out a wedding and how would you know who to invite bc i dont know if i want my side of the family there....and how do you know who can help you out... i want this to be my wedding not something someone else put up and i just go there... i don't want a wedding planner either i think its a waste of money so how do i start and when? bc it will be in the summer next yearoh we will be 18 too and we want this so dont be like oh you guys are too young and blah blah blah heard it all before and i just need some help herethank you alot people oh yea what about themes do u guys have any ideas?
How do I plan a wedding with a difficult control freak?
Ok, so I am planning my cousin's wedding. She is a very sweet person. However, her mom is ridiculous She is a control freak. I actually work for her husband my uncle and she seems to think she is in charge. She is not . She treats me like shit, my mom her sister like shit, and basically everyone who walks her path like shit. How in the world am I going to plan this wedding when she just happens to the matron of honor and mother of the bride? I really want to help because I love planning and my cousin really wants my help. But I think I will want to kill her by the end. Please help.

How do I plan a wedding for the bride when I am the maid of honor?
One of my best friends just got engaged at long last She is not the type of person who enjoys planning things therefore she has asked me to plan her wedding for her. She also asked me to be the maid of honor. We have discussed some things before she got engaged but she is really indecisive about everything. Of course she would have the final say on all options, but her indecisiveness might make it more difficult for me. However, I really don't have a clue how to begin planning it, especially since they want to get married in January which seems really close. Are there any sites that would help me plan the wedding within this 5 6 month period? I really don't want to forget anything important and I want to make it a beautiful memorable event for her.
Planning a Wedding Reception after the fact, how to?
Here is the situation,About 6 months ago, we went to the Court and got our Marriage License. There were only about 6 close people with us.My husbands family is racist and against our marriage completely. Im mexican he is Armenian They did not take any part in our Court ceremony.My family barely makes it by with money, and his family is " better off" , but they will not help us whatsoever with a reception. I dont even know if they would attend.Anyway, a lot of weddings are going on around me, I've had to attend a bridal shower, and a bridal fitting, both of which I did not have. I went in the bathroom and cried at both because it is really what I wanted.My husband has just gotten comfortable with us as we are, and never talks about a wedding reception. Lately, after all these events, I've been really depressed and talking about it more and more. I've been crying daily looking at bridal gowns and pricing things up. The thing is, I don't want to tell people yet, because I don't want to steal anyones thunder. There is a wedding in Sept, and Oct. I feel I can't tell any of the girls to help me just yet, so I look around in silence alone on this.How can I start going about this " Timewise" ? How do I start to tell people I'm wanting to throw a reception soon, without them thinking " aren't you already married for a year now?" By the way, the reason I never had a wedding reception is because of our financial problems. We are looking to start buying little by little and maybe even getting a small loan
