We met off the internet and are planning a wedding! What things can we do to show we met online?
Trying to do some research on maybe a quirky invitation wording about how we met online, we are having 2 laptops as the cakes. What can we do? Can anyone find any sites? Has anyone planned this theme of a wedding? Does anyone know any invitation wording that would fit the theme? Any help? Thanks

I have a question in regards to planning a wedding date...?
I am currently planning a wedding, and unfortunately we cannot set a date yet, due to the fact that we have to get a fiance visa first and we do not know when one will come in.Well here's the deal, I live in Minnesota, and so does my dad, but my mother lives in California, and she asked if we have any idea at all for a date. Now I said well I think, depending on when the visa comes in, that we will end up having late this year or early next year.Now my mother said, though it was to my sister, not to me. That if I have it in the winter she does not want to go. Is this right? Should I change to the summer because of this?Also, my father wants to know what she's would like to help pay for before he decides what he wants to help pay for. I asked her this, she said we'll talk later about it. But now I hear that she's mad because two of my little sister's are going to be apart of the wedding, one a flower girl and one a bridesmaid. And well apparently she's mad that she does not want to pay for two dresses. And instead of talking to me about this whole finance situation she's talking to others, pretty much talking down about the while thing, and I get it second hand. What should I do?

What exactly goes into planning a wedding?
I mean, like a fully detailed list. Theres probably a few things I havent yet thought of in regards to planning a wedding.

When planning a wedding who is responsible for buying brides maid's dresses?
Should I plan to pay for them, or ask the brides maids to pay for them?

Why is planning a wedding so complicated and needs to be perfect?
I agree that a wedding is a very important milestones in someone's life. Yet, I've never seen someone except perfection during the celebration of other important milestones such as a baby shower christening, birthday, anniversary, etc. Why do things that are perfectly acceptable at those events celebration held at home, homemade cold buffet, dollar store decorations, etc. are considered " trashy" for a wedding and guests think they have the right to complain even if they aren't paying a dime for it?Modern day wedding forces ordinary people to handle a task that is normally made for professional event planners. Why is that?I am already married. Went to court, and had a dessert & champagne reception at home with only parents, grandparents and the friends who were our witnesses. My mother in law still complains about it to this day.

How can I plan a wedding for under $5000 with family on the east and west coast?
Help My fiance and I have to pay for our wedding ourselves. We have set a budget for $5000 dollars that we think we can save. However, if that wasn't hard enough both our families are struggling financially. His family & friends live in Massachusetts and mine our in southern California. I don't even know where we should have it so that they can all come.

Planning a wedding?!?! I'm desperate!?
My Fiance and I have decided to get married on December 20th, 2010. I don't even know where to start. He is in Iraq for another month or so, but I think I want to start planning now? Is it too early. I think our budget is set from anywhere to 6k 10k. My parents cannot afford to help, but that is okay I just don't know what I even want right now. I think I want a wedding in a church, and then a cruise for the honeymoon. Can someone please point me in the right direction?
